Is Data Visualization a science or an art? Do good data visualizations lead us into foregone conclusions? Does 'Big' data depend on your perspective? Do visualizations help us communicate? Our goal for Data Visualization DC (DVDC) is to create great events where everyones' experiences reflect these sentiments and explore these ideas. Data viz is unique because we are so visual, begging us to create events with a visual focus. As a result the events follow a simple rhythm: we gather and eat, we listen, we ask, we engage, we socialize.
